Field Cricket

Adult.

There are many species, all have large rear legs and long, thin antennae. The common house cricket is now quite scarce but can be found in museums which use them to feed live reptiles.

The species illustrated was an import on crates.

Size: There are many species 10-40mm

These are not museum pests, but dead bodies will provide food for Anthrenus.
